Fraud is being done in the name of the State Bank of India Recently, the fact check unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) shared a post on Social Media X (formerly known as Twitter) warning all customers of State Bank. The post states that fraudsters are sending messages to customers in the name of State Bank. This message asks you to download the app (APK file) to redeem SBI Rewards.
Customers who download apps or click on links from such messages will be victims of fraud, their bank accounts can be emptied immediately. State Bank of India never sends such messages to customers. So such a message link from an unknown number cannot be clicked. Always verify such messages through SBI’s official channels.
